PART 1
Below are some practices you may find helpful on your journey towards Higher Consciousness. You will feel much benefit by incorporating them into daily practice and they will certainly help you to understand and see life in a more enlightened way. There are innumerable benefits to each of the practices; only one is listed in each case to help you with your focus of attention.
Do not expect to master anything immediately; continued practice does yield its own rewards!
Immersing yourself in Nature ( ref: 2.2.2)
Benefit: * Calming self
a) Just breathe in deeply, then breathe out slowly. You will immediately feel a brake on your emotions. (This is where the advice of ‘just count to 10’ originates). If you continue to focus on your breath as you breathe in slowly, as far as you can, then breathe out slowly as far as you can, you will start calming down, your heart rate slowing. If your anxiety is particularly acute, saying the word “Now” will bring your attention to the present moment. Repeating this process several times until you feel calmer will help you think more clearly and rationally, giving you some space from obsessive negative thinking.


b) If you can imagine or ‘visualise’ (on the screen of your mind upon your forehead):
(i) a stormy sea, gradually getting calmer and calmer with each breath that you take, this will help to release you from your inner turmoil for a while. Repeat this as often as you wish, for it is difficult to feel tumultuous whilst your mind is focusing on peaceful scenes.
(ii) Another helpful thing is to focus on could be a candle flame. Actually lighting a white candle and sitting quietly watching its flame, can help enormously and you are bathed in the radiance of the gentle candlelight.

c) Seaside air (ref: 2.2.2)
Benefit: * Clears the mind and Energises your whole Being.
Not only are the rolling waves calming and relaxing but also meditative, carrying your mind out and beyond your thinking to the far horizons. This opens your Being and expands your sense of Self far beyond that of mundane things.
i) As you walk along the beach breathe slowly and deeply, in for a slow count of six and out for a count of six. You will soon find yourself ‘buzzing’ as you take in the life enhancing energy of the Ocean, leaving you feeling invigorated and uplifted.

d) Night sky (ref: 2.2.1)
Benefit: *Greater sense of perspective and better sleep
The night air, away from hustle and bustle, is very peaceful and soothing. If you can see the stars it is quite awe-inspiring and takes your mind to a higher level to wonder at the magnificence before you and inspiring you with ‘the beyondness of things’ and all that potentially could be.
i) Breathe deeply of this pure night air and take the energy of this Cosmos into your mind, heart and Being. let your mind expand into the vastness of this universe in which we live on our tiny planet.
If you can do these four things each day, within a month you will start feeling immense benefit.
If you cannot do all these things (eg because you do not live by the sea,)then find pictures of the sea that inspire you, imagine yourself walking beside an ocean, immerse yourself in a video/ sounds of the ocean …. & one day you will find yourself actually visiting it!
Natural Gems of Earth (ref: 2.4)

Benefit: * there are plenty of books on the benefit of different crystals.
Geodes and Crystals: This geode acts as a reminder that no matter how rough an individual seems on the surface, deep inside us all is surpassing beauty, which can be illustrated by cutting the geode open, as shown in the second photograph. Our purpose in life is to bring that Beauty to the fore and shine the Light.


Meditation ~ (I like to call this “Me Time”!) (Ref: 3. 6.3)
Benefits: *Innumerable! ~ Inspiration, enlightenment, healing, Peace to name but a very few.
Sit comfortably or lie down and relax. Take a few deep breaths to unwind yourself. Then:
a) Personal-space Bubble:
Visualise a beautiful golden bubble of light around yourself. This can be as large or small as you wish. Anything negative or that worries you is placed outside the Bubble so that only things that make you happy and peaceful are inside the Bubble with you. Visualising this protection from all negative influences around yourself gives you a place of Peace to rest within.
b) Meditate:
Quite simply, this is focusing your thoughts on something peaceful that gives you pleasure to behold. It can be e.g.
* Your favourite colour.
* Gentle candle flame.
* Beautiful flower.
* Pearl.
* Or quite simply, just the flow of your breathing.
~ anything at all that brings you comfort. You may well find that your thoughts wander away from your chosen focus from time to time, but that is quite all right. Just gently bring your concentration back to your focus and continue to relax and be peaceful.
The more you practice this, the less your mind will wander and the greater the benefit you will feel, in time.
Got a problem? ~ just hold it in the light in your meditation. See it at any shape or colour that you feel is appropriate. do not try to solve the problem immediately, just watch it. Resolution will come later when you are not even thinking about it and going about your normal daily life. This inspiration is made possible because during your meditation, you have accessed, subconsciously, your Higher Consciousness which holds the answers and solutions to all of your life’s conundrums. As you progress with meditation, and it becomes a daily part of your life, even just for half an hour as part of your normal ‘me time’ routine, you will find that solutions may well start to appear during your meditation, as you develop the skills to converse with your Higher Consciousness.

Think upon someone worse-off than yourself
We often talk of “sending someone our Love”.
You can visualise sending someone you know or may have heard of, your Love by thought, as a soft white Light flowing from you to them bringing them peace, healing and a feeling that they are not alone; that someone somewhere cares about them. Truly, is it said: “In giving do you receive.“
If you also pray for them to receive Love, you will be engaging the much stronger power of the Source of All to come to their aid. Consequently you will have engaged your own Higher Consciousness in reaching up for prayer, placing yourself in a state of higher Energy and thus feel better yourself!
“What we do to another is also done to ourself”


Working with aspects of yourself as depicted by the ‘chakra’ system of the body.
Much has been written about these elsewhere, if you are interested in learning more.
Here, we would just like to point out that if you have a problem at one level of your Being, the solution is normally found by looking into a higher aspect of yourself (i.e. that represented by the ‘chakra’ above it.

Purple represents your spiritual aspect.
Indigo represents your introspective/reflective aspect.
Sky-blue represents your creative aspect.
Green represents your Loving aspect.
Yellow represents your mental aspect.
Orange represents your emotional aspect.
Red represents your physical aspect.
(If this appeals to you, you can try working with it yourself in your meditations. It is too deep a subject to work with remotely here.
Working with Thoughts

If you find yourself feeling anxious about something, or find that your energy is being drained by thinking about some encounter or situation which you are dreading having to face:
Shower your loving thoughts for Peace upon your worry, fill it with Light and commit the situation to God, the Eternal Force of Love.
If you sustain this flow for a few minutes you will find:
(i) your own anxiety has been considerably reduced
(ii) your obsession with the problem put into perspective
(iii)and a deep feeling of release and peace will have replaced your worry
~ not least of all because you will actually have done something positive to relieve the situation you were fearing!

Of course, you do not have to wait until you feel low or worried before sending your Loving thoughts for Peace or upliftment out like this. Travelling to work (especially being stuck in a traffic jam!), or doing some mundane piece of housework you are not keen on, etc. etc. are all marvellous opportunities to use this most important piece of spiritual work to help raise the low energies of the Planet! At this particular time on Earth, loving thoughts sent for Peace, Harmony and Healing between people on this planet and for all those who suffer, will be most beneficial.

Sending healing by thought is a common way of working by many healers, but you must not think that because you do not have some certificate that you are unable to help another. Remember, healing is just another form of Love. In your prayers, ask that healing be sent to those in need, be they individuals you know or sections of society you feel particular compassion for.

Thought work can be done by anyone, young or old, fit or bedridden! It is so very important and so very effective in helping to usher in a a new way of living in harmony together in this world.
We each can do an enormous amount in our own little ways to benefit mankind and increase peace .(Yes, send your thoughts for Peace, healing, harmony and enlightenment to people, relationships and situations too ~ remember that listing in CHAPTER 1 of what LOVE is?!!).
Your own meditations will help you to see in what other ways you can play your part. We are each unique, we are each LOVED by the Spirit and others in the Universal Consciousness working to bring the LoveLight to Earth, even though we may not be aware or knowledgeable of these Beings in our waking consciousness.
We each have our own prescribed bit to do that no-one else can do, because no-one else has been created exactly like YOU!

One word of caution: Do stop sending your LoveLight when you feel you have done enough for the time being. As you have given, so let Nature give back and replenish you.
Relax and enjoy the peace and satisfaction that comes from the back wash of your work. As the saying goes: ‘God is no man’s debtor’.
It is no use sending forth so much Love that you feel exhausted and depleted, needing someone else’s thoughts of Love to pick you up!

PART TWO
This section on ‘Thoughts’ is based on Chapter 4.
Practising the suggestions above will have given you a sense of your potential in areas you have perhaps not considered before and also those areas of life that you are particularly interested in helping to improve. Shortly, more information will be given to enable you to become more efficient in your practice. Until then, try to incorporate what has already been given into your daily life as this lays the foundation for what is to follow.
from Words of Wisdom (4.3.6) ): ” Thoughts do not go willy-nilly!”
Thoughts are more powerful (see Words of Wisdom: (4.3.13) and have greater effect if you can be more specific and focussed (see Words of Wisdom: (4.3.8) visualising what you actually want to achieve with them. Below is a list of possible objectives you may want to send your thoughts for: (The lists are endless, just follow your own feelings, inclinations and impressions.)
If you feel drawn towards helping, you can ask/pray (“Pray is an old English word for for ‘Ask’) :
1)HEALING for the planet. Visualise /imagine the sick and ailing part getting healthier as you send the Healing rays of Energy to it. More specifically, for
* the atmosphere
*or oceans ~ which Ocean?
*or rivers ~ which River?
*Or land ~ which Country? …which part?
*Or forests ~ which Forest? …where?
*Or animals ~ which Animal in particular? etc.
2) HEALING for People.
*Which people? Anyone in particular or a group?
~ The war-torn?
~ The used and abused?
~ The unloved?
~ The children?
~The elderly?
~ The lonely?
~ Those living in fear?
~ Addicts?
~ The lost?
~ The mentally ill?
~ The physically ill and disabled?
~ To foster Hope for the disallusioned and despondent. etc.
3) HEALING the relationships between people.
~ Where there is discord, for harmony to grow.
~ Where there is anger, for forgiveness to grow.
~Where there is hatred, for Love to flower.
~ Where their is selfishness, for sharing to bloom.
~ For understanding.
~ For caring and kindness. etc.
4). PEACE: (See Words of Wisdom: ( 4.3.7))
~ To those in turmoil.
~ To the anxious.
~To those in despair.
~ To the despondent.
~To the restless who feel stuck in a rut.
~To the bereaved. etc
5) For PROTECTION from low and unseemly energies and malicious people.
~ For the vulnerable.
~ For particular friends and relations.
~ For those doing dangerous jobs.
~ From jealousy.
~ From harm.
~From danger. etc.
6) Don’t forget to ask for what you need yourself as well, because sending your thoughts to help others in a focussed manner takes energy! (see Words of Wisdom: (4.3.17).
7) LOVE only SUPPORTS Please remember that sending the Energy of LOVE to people always only SUPPORTS what those people (or person) are doing and being. So if you send Love to people whose actions you do not approve of, (because you wish to try to stop the harm they are doing ), this will NOT have your desired effect; the result of doing that will only ever be an increase in those actions that you are trying to stop.
A far better approach is to send Love to those who are already working to bring Peace, Harmony and positive resolution of conflict between people; to furnish them with greater perseverance and determination to achieve their goals in building a better world where everyone can live in Peace. Which is the desire of many, many, more people on this Planet than those who try to sow division, destruction and hatred.
Truly, Peace-loving people are NOT helpless victims, but by applying what the Teachings of this website are offering, Peace becomes a far more constructive force in the world.
ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE ~ even if you do not perceive anything, your thoughts/ prayers will have impact!
Some people have formed groups and chosen a local landmark (e.g. fountain, monument, tree etc) upon which to focus their thoughts, visualising the improvement they wish to see in their community, with quite astounding results, as these stored energies radiate out from their focus. All that can be said is for you to try these things for yourself and see what happens over a period of time. (see Words of Wisdom:(4.3.15))
